What Unhinge is

Unhinge is an informal WhatsApp-based community that helps interns and young people (17–23) in Gurgaon find weekend plans. It is not a company, not a registered organization, not an event management service, and not a travel agency. It is a group of people coordinating plans over WhatsApp. That is all.

No liability for events or meetups

This is the important part. Unhinge does not organize, supervise, manage, or take responsibility for any events, meetups, drives, trips, parties, or hangouts that are planned through the community. All plans are made informally by members themselves. When you show up to anything, you are doing so at your own risk and on your own decision.

Unhinge and its admin(s) are not responsible or liable for:

• Any accidents, injuries, illness, or harm of any kind that may occur during or in connection with any meetup, trip, drive, party, or gathering.
• Any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings or property.
• Any disputes, disagreements, or conflicts between members.
• Any illegal activity conducted by any member.
• The behaviour, actions, or conduct of any member at any time, whether online or offline.
• Road accidents, traffic violations, or any incidents during drives or trips.
• Food, drinks, or substances consumed at any gathering.
• Any financial losses including but not limited to trip costs, split payments, or damages.
• Anything that happens inside WhatsApp groups including harassment, spam, or unwanted contact.

Your responsibility

By joining this community, you acknowledge that:

• You are between 17 and 23 years old.
• You attend all events, meetups, and plans voluntarily and at your own risk.
• You are responsible for your own safety, transportation, health, and conduct.
• You will not hold Unhinge, its admin(s), or any other member liable for anything that happens during any gathering or interaction.
• You will behave respectfully towards other members. Harassment, discrimination, or threatening behaviour of any kind will result in removal from all groups.
• If you are under 18, you have your parent or guardian's awareness and consent to participate.
• You will follow all applicable laws including traffic laws, drinking age laws, and local regulations.

Trips and travel

Any trips organized through the community are informal group plans, not packaged tours. There is no tour operator, no insurance, no guaranteed itinerary, and no refund policy. Costs are split among attendees as decided by the group. If you cancel, whether you get your money back depends on the group, not on Unhinge. Travel is at your own risk. Bring your own ID, your own medication, and your own common sense.

Removal

The admin reserves the right to remove any member from the community at any time, for any reason, without notice. This includes but is not limited to inappropriate behaviour, harassment, spam, being outside the age range, or making other members uncomfortable.

No guarantees

Unhinge does not guarantee that any plans will happen, that any specific number of people will show up, that you will make friends, or that your weekends will improve. It is a WhatsApp group. We hope it helps, but there are no promises.

Indemnification

By using this website and joining the community, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unhinge and its admin(s) from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your participation in any community activities, your use of this website, or your interactions with other members.

Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued participation in the community after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
